Day #17 & 18

Romans 15:13

“May the God of Hope fill you with all JOY and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Day # 16 – Thankfulness yet again..

So, I know I’ve talked about this, but yes, oh yes, thankfulness reminds us of the JOY that is so present in our lives.
It’s so easy right about now to get super worn down and overwhelemed with everything… a touch of dehydration from hot weather running doesn’t help matters 🙂 Although you get a sweet tan! 🙂
But no, it’s so easy for me right now to get discouraged, but I want to rest in God’s peace and just take each moment as it comes.
So here are some things I’m thankful for:

1. That I just checked out of my Ochem lab! Woah! I made it!
2. That I have an awesome roomie ❤
3. Water – so, so good.
4. The ability to run.
5. Food.
6. Ice cream :d
7. Decorah -what an awesome place
8. Awesome professors
9. Chacos!

Day # 15

I am joyful today because of the absolutely amazing weather!
I got out and did a 14 mi bike ride! Woo hoo! So awesome!

I’m so JOYFUL because of all the amazing people that God has put in my life. We had a really fun time getting ice cream as Proclaim, and it was such a blessing to see new faces too! Also, who can not have JOY when you go the Sugar Bowl!

Thank you, Jesus!

Day #14

Out of thankfulness, springs JOY.

It’s amazing to me how people in other countries can still be grateful and thankful for horrible persecution they endure and the pain and sorrow their families experience as a result. Yet they still give thanks for their situation and as a result, draw nearer to Jesus.

I realize how good I have it. So so good. Why do I constantly complain then?

Instead, I want to be thankful, and from thankfulness, as I said before, SPRINGS joy.
Try naming off 15 things you’re thankful for. See what happens 🙂

Day #12 – Halfway there

Woah!! Halfway done with the challenge! That means only 12 more days of school/finals! Woah!

So today, I’m joyful because God is so faithful and patient with me. I screw up so much be HE is always consistent. Gosh, I don’t understand why He loves me. That’s what makes it so crazy beautiful.

These are some things that reminded me of JOY today:

1. Mocha muffins at Oneota (with Peanut Butter of course)

2. The fact that I get to attend the amazing LUTHER COLLEGE

3. My beautiful friends and family all around me

4. The fact that earl grey tea is a little too much caffeine for my very caffeine-intolerant self and therefore causes me to be really peppy and random! Whew! 🙂

6. The fact that even though I have no clue what I’m doing this summer, God is going to show me the way.

7. Phil 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Day #11

J ust

O pen

Y our… hands and receive the JOY that the Father is holding out to you. Right now. Yes, in the midst of your chaos and maybe not so joyful day. Joy is not circumstantial. It’s right now!
